Shaun Bounds and Kosta Fleytman - Towson University -  Bounds who is a forward and Fleytman who is a midfielder scored to help the Tigers defeat Manhattan 3-0 in the Navy Fall Classic.

 

Edwin Arreola - DePaul - The freshman forward scored for the Blue Demon's as they bounced back from an opening game loss to tie Washington 1-1 in the Nike Portland Invitational. 

 

David Sartorio - Davidson - The midfielder from Raleigh, North Carolina scored as the Wildcats tied Lehigh 1-1 in their season opener.  Sartorio also contributed an assist as the Wildcats defeated host Army in the Army Classic played in West Point, New York. 

 

John DeVae - Coastal Carolina -  The freshman forward from Elmhurst, Illinois out of York High School scored two goals over the weekend in the VCU Classic in Richmond.  Coastal Carolina tied Hartwick 3-3 and defeated Syracuse 3-1 in the Tournament.  DeVae was named to the All-Tournament team. 

 

Ian Carey - Duke University - The Blue Devil freshman midfielder contributed two assists in route to helping Duke defeat Georgia Southern 3-0.

 

Jeff Margarian - Fresno State - The midfielder from Fresno, California came up big for the Bulldogs in their season opener against Saint Mary's when he found the back of the net with 2:09 remaining in regulation to tie the score at 2-2 and force overtime play.  The score remained 2-2 after two overtime periods. 

 

Ross Cain - Illinois-Chicago - The freshman netminder made his first collegiate start in place of the injured Jeff Kusiciel who started between the pipes for the Flames last year.  Cain had five saves as Illinois-Chicago defeated Drury 4-2 in their season opener.     

 

Jelani Grant - University of Louisville - Grant, a midfielder from Markham, Ontario, scored a goal in Louisville's 4-3 loss to IUPUI - Fort Wayne and tallied a goal in Louisville's 3-2 win over IUPUI.   

 

Jason Garey - Maryland - Garey scored a goal and contributed an assist in Maryland's 8-0 win over Rhode Island. 

 

Dayton O'Brien - Memphis - O'Brien converted a penalty kick in overtime to give the Tigers a hard fought 3-2 double overtime victory over TCU. 

 

Lance Watson - New Mexico - Watson scored in the Lobo's season opening 2-1 win over Northern Illinois and added another goal as New Mexico defeated Marshall 3-0-0.

 

Eric Brin and Tito Lara - Northwestern - Brin from Westlake, California and Lara from Joliet, Illinois each scored a goal to help Northwestern secure a 2-1 win over Drury.

 

Brian Devlin and David Walters - Penn State - The Penn State freshmen midfielders were named to the Ohio State Scarlet and Grey Classic All-Tourney Team.
