Text Box: Ryan Gibbs, forward, Virginia - Gibbs tallied two goals in the Virginia win over North Carolina.  Gibbs made not only finished well but he also made great runs to put himself into position to score the goals.  The Cavaliers are now 5-0-1 overall and 2-0-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.  Gibbs has played a big part in the Cavaliers success year to date.  He and teammate Alecko Eskandarian give Virginia a potent scoring duo up-top. 




Luchi Gonzalez, forward, S.M.U. - Gonzalez had two goals and one assist in the Mustangs 6-0 win over previously undefeated Wisconsin.  He also tallied two goals and contributed one assist in the S.M.U.’s 7-0 win over Memphis. S.M.U. began the season ranked number one in the country by College Soccer News and has held that spot in each of the four subsequent weeks.  




Arturo Torres, forward, Loyola Marymount - Torres and his teammates played solid soccer defeating U.C. Irvine 1-0 and Harvard 3-1 to win the LMU Fall Classic Tournament.  Torres had two goals including the game winner in LMU’s win over Harvard.  For his efforts he  was named the LMU Tournament MVP.  The Lions are now 4-3-0 and are playing much better that earlier in the year. 





Dennis King, forward, Illinois-Chicago - King scored four goals as the Flames got big wins over  Loyola and Bradley.  In the Loyola match King tallied three goals to capture his first collegiate hat trick.  Against the Bradley Braves, King headed in the winning goal.  The two wins improve the Illinois-Chicago overall record to 3-3-0.  This is a team that appears to be putting it all together.      



Andy Rosenband, midfielder, Ohio State University - Rosenband had a goal and an assist in the Buckeyes 4-1 win over Creighton and he recorded an assist in their 1-0 win over Southwest Missouri State.  The Buckeyes are now 6-0-1 overall and 1-0-0 in Big Ten play.  






Pat Noonan, midfielder, Indiana University - Noonan scored two goals in Indiana’s 4-0 win over Louisville and added a goal and an assist in the Hoosiers 3-0 win over Big Ten foe Michigan State.  The Indiana attack looked explosive last week.  Noonan’s play last week had a lot to do with that happening.
